Every office will have
at least one printer ready for use. The printer may be from one of
the most reputable manufacturers around. So you have a good run with
your printer, but then its pre-packed stock of ink cartridges run
out. Normally, you are left with only one choice—to acquire fresh
ink supplies from the shop that sold you the printer. However, over
the course of your search, you come across generic-branded ink
cartridges that are of the same configuration as the original ones.
The question lingers – do you buy them instead? Some factors may
lead you to a certain decision.
First up, the cost of
generic ink
cartridges are at least half that of a branded model. The value
is also compensated by the larger amount of ink per cartridge. If
your printer is adjusted to draft mode, you can print more documents
and lessen pressure on the machine.
However, beware of the
potential pitfalls of getting generic cartridges. Some experts claim
that images made on printers using some generic ink cartridges faded
immediately when exposed to ultraviolet light. Thus, they can be used
only for printing disposable materials. In addition, the biggest
concern in generic cartridges is when the printer does not recognize
the cartridge.
