It’s common for
students and their parents to flood a back-to-school supply sale,
especially if they’re buying from actual stores rather than online.
While buyers may be tempted to purchase everything in their school
supply checklist, some items are better bought at a later time than
bought in a sale, and vice versa.
Obviously, basic school
supplies, such as notebooks, writing instruments, and papers, should
be bought at the drop of the hat, but if they are really after saving
money, they should do so only when their stock has already been
exhausted . It’s also more practical to buy in bulk rather than
purchase these supplies by piece; another advantage of bulk purchases
is that parents have to head to school supply stores less frequently.
Water bottles, lunch boxes, and book bags need not to be replaced
every year, provided that they’re still in good condition
(functionally and aesthetically).
College students who
live in dorms have other things to consider such as toiletries,
furniture, cooking ware, and the like, although these items are
rarely part of a school supply sale. As such, they can be purchased
at any time of the year. However, college students can still benefit
from keeping their eye out for sales of these items.
